Robert "Bobby" Kincaid

Bobby Kincaid came into the world with explosions all around him. Born just after sunset, July 4th 1940, his mother and father saw his premature birth as an omen for great things to come. By the fourth grade, however, it was apparent that young Bobby was fostering a growing dislike for others.

An only child, misunderstood and alienated by an explosive temper, he struggled through school, up rooted to new schools three times before the seventh grade and finally turned to baseball and music through the urging of the one teacher who invested in him; though admittedly he wasn't very good at either.

When the older teacher who befriended him had a sudden heart attack and died, Bobby lost interest in baseball and music by the middle of his freshman year in high school. He got in with an older crowd that introduced him to marijuana and rock music. He would inevitably graduate and find himself sharing a sofa at various friends apartments until by chance he answered an ad for a mechanic's assistant in the newspaper and he was able to find his own place. Again his lack of talent undermined any career offerings and Bobby took on working at an auto wrecking yard where he finally flourished dismantling cars and turning parts into quick cash.

Bobby got his long time girlfriend Mandy pregnant in 79 and faced with her angry family, left Sacramento in the middle of the night for the bay area where he started driving a tow truck for Big Ed. Bobby lives simply, enjoys beers at the Crow Bar, and prefers denim to most else, sports bruised and grease stained hands like a merit badge, and lives from paycheck to paycheck. He doesn't have a savings account, credit card, or concerns about credit. What he can't buy with cash he doesn't and when all else fails, his temper resides just below the surface of most confrontations.
